PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research hosted iTech Hackfest
2022 from August 25–27, in collaboration with SAP Academy for
Engineering and Kaar Technologies. With a ₹2,00,000 prize pool,
Rajalakshmi Engineering College secured first place.Focusing on
digital commerce, sustainability, and inclusion, the event featured
industry mentorship, opportunities at SAP’s Startup Studio, and job
offers for top performers, strengthening academia-industry
collaboration.
The overall reach of the program was 600 students, with 120 teams
participating. The event was conducted in a single state.
iTech Hackfest 2023, held at PSG Institute of Technology from August
24-26, was hosted by the CSE Department in collaboration with SAP
Academy and Kaar Technologies. With a ₹3,00,000 prize pool, the event
featured inspiring industry leaders like Mr. Jayanth Bagare (SAP) and
Mr. Maran Nagarajan (Kaar).Participants tackled real-world challenges
under faculty mentorship, while Mr. Ferose V R (SAP) encouraged
turning ideas into startups. Beyond cash prizes, winners gained
industry exposure, making the event a huge success, setting the stage
for an even bigger 2024 edition!
The program expanded
significantly, reaching 2,500 students across 650 teams. It covered
six states and included six regional rounds. Additionally, 56 colleges
and universities participated, with support from two SAP partners.
PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research hosted iTech Hackfest
2024 on July 25–26, organized by the CSE Department and sponsored by
SAP. The event featured a ₹4.75 lakh prize pool, with Team BroCode
(Thapar Institute) winning ₹2,50,000, followed by Team Matrix Infinity
(Rajalakshmi Engineering College) and Team Rudhraksha (Chandigarh
Engineering College). Participants tackled coding challenges, gaining
industry exposure, mentorship, and networking. With its growing
success, the hackathon continues to shape future tech leaders, setting
the stage for an even bigger 2025 edition.
The program further
scaled up, engaging 12,500 students and 2,500 teams. It extended
across ten states and featured 25 regional rounds. A total of 110
colleges and universities participated, backed by ten SAP partners.
